December 20,
2006
Dear IHRIM-MAC Member,
As we all settle
in for the busy holiday season I want to take a moment to send you
cheerful greetings and joyful wishes and may you find peace through the
New Year.
I also want to
personally thank you for allowing me to serve as your President of IHRIM
Mid Atlantic Chapter for the past two years. It has been an awesome
experience and a pleasure to be able to be part of such a fine
organization that has brought you many terrific educational
opportunities.
Mid Atlantic Chapter Board
2006 Accomplishments
My goal as your
President was to provide as many HRIS/HRIT educational opportunities as
possible and the theme this year was All About You, the MAC Member.
Here is what was accomplished:
The Mid Atlantic Chapter has
grown our Membership by 5% from January 1,
2006. We currently have 254 members which make up about 10% of the overall
IHRIM membership.
The Mid Atlantic Chapter
offered 13 educational programs to our members, of which 11 were webinars
at the convenience of your desktop. We held one local Educational Course
in Rockville, Maryland, and one face to face full
day meeting was held in Philadelphia.
The Mid Atlantic Chapter had
over 350 members attend our educational programs during 2006.
We implemented the Value Pack concept which
allowed members to signup for all of our webinars for a one time price of
$60. We had very good response to this offering.
The Mid Atlantic Chapter
surveyed our members twice this year and offered Starbucks and Border
Incentives for participants. The first survey was regarding HRIS/HRIT
issues, interest areas and feedback on potential program/event topics and
the second survey was to IHRIM members in the central Pennsylvania area. This survey was
focused on determining the level of interest in getting members in that
area more involved in MAC events/programs. Since, we had a breakfast
meeting to assist in re-activating the central PA area.
The Mid Atlantic Chapter had 9
dedicated Board Members who volunteered their time to pull the
educational programs together.
The Board Members held twelve
Board Meetings during the year and submitted minutes to Headquarters on a
monthly basis and filed our quarterly financial reporting on time.

every opportunity to reach out and spread the word about IHRIM and all
benefits of being a member. Therefore, our booth will be traveling to
many events during 2007. I hope to meet many of you from there.
A special note
to our members, please feel free to contact me or any of the MAC board if
you have any questions about our upcoming 2007 programs, or if you need
